When I launched BYOB a year ago, I had one mission in mind: to help people say no to single-use plastic and Styrofoam by making it simple (and even fun!) to bring your own box.

I knew change wouldn’t happen overnight. But I also knew that if enough of us made the switch, the ripple effect could be enormous.

Now, thanks to you, we finally get to celebrate our first-ever BYOB Sustainable Impact Report. And wow — the numbers blew me away.

That’s hundreds of thousands of clamshells, pastry bags, and plates that were never made, never used, and never trashed.

🗑️ Waste Prevented

Because each BYOB can reduce over 200 lbs of waste per year when used regularly:

• ♻️ 45,000 lbs of waste prevented (casual use)

• 🌍 225,000 lbs of waste prevented (heavy use)

That’s the same as:

• 🚛 2–11 full garbage trucks diverted from landfills

• 🌳 The carbon savings of planting 2,500+ trees
